I don't claim to know anything about this guy or american polictics, but from my experience ALL politicains tell you what you want to hear until they get into power & then they fuck you over! It's about who doesen't fuck you the most that you want in! >:(

Off the top of my head:
He is a libertarian that wants to privatize pretty much every single service the government provides including roads / firefighting.
He is an isolationist, opposes UN membership.
He dosen't believe in evolution.
Doesn't think there should be any income tax.
Thinks the US should revert to the gold standard.
And probably a ton more I didn't even think of.
