The game sucks ass. If there is a game thats more on rails than this, I havent played it. It's like walking through an endless shooting gallery with some crappy boss fights interrupting the endless corridor running. The gameworld was boring and lacked depth. Everything is just so uninspired and mediocre that I couldn't force myself playing it through.

Everything this game does, Deus Ex: Human Revolution does better. It's ike Rock Paper Shotgun said in their review: "Syndicate is Deus Ex: Human Revolution without the stealth, hacking or conversation". I would also add that it has way crappier mood, writing and characters.

Even as pure shooter I'd rather play DX:HR than syndicate.
