Dear Diary,

I get so lonely at night. Lonelier than a wild fox in the middle of the woods in the middle of the night right before the fourth of July. My sweet honey is still in the war. He wrote me a letter today. I was so giddy and excited I almost peed my knickers. He said he should be coming home soon in 3 months. I hope he keeps his promise this time. He sure has broken it many times before. I just wanna wrap my arms around him and let him hump me faster then those dogs do in our yard. He's such a sweetheart sometimes. I just wanna lick him like a lollipop on the hot day on the fourth of July.

Mama's making bread and butter tonight, with meat on a stick. You don't know how excited I get when those warm rolls come out of her oven. I hope Papa recovers soon from yesterday and him being so excited. He's been passed out on our hammock all day now. Ole Papa, I sure do love him.

Dear Diary,

Today was a good day. I wrote back to my little Pootie. He's such a big daddy yum yum. Ya see, they're about to switch camps over there in the Navy. He's worried. He goes in 9 days. He says the camp is pretty nice, but he'll miss where he is stationed. Says there's lots of free coke cane. I don't know why he wants free coke cane. Don't they give you coca cola by the liters if you're in the Navy? Oh well, he's silly. I can't wait to see him though. I miss those soft deep black eyes. Those curls on his head. Curlier then sheep's skin after you tug their little buttholes on the fourth of July.

I've been working out a lot recently too. Ran all the way to ole Mr. Joe Earl Tommy lee's chicken coop. He always invites me over when I go for my jog. He says he loves my sweat dripping down my neck. Sometimes he enjoys letting it drip in a cup. Don't ask me what he does later with it! He says it's good lotion for night time. But I don't know why he just wouldn't use the honey mama gave him! Oh well, I do live in a crazy town.

Plus nobody I know got killed in South Central L.A. Today was a good day.
