Shit. You guys are laughing at a bunch of atheist pictures, but the second I post TWO agnostics pictures I'm looking for trouble. The discussion started because Vsh didn't appreciate me posting two pictures that makes fun of the most fanatic theists and atheists in a thread that makes fun of theists. By the looks of it, he isn't the only hypocrite.

I find the spaghetti monster ridiculous, just as I don't expect any sane person to believe in santa claus. There's a difference between refuting a ridiculous belief and refuting the possibility of something supernatural because of a ridiculous example. It would be like me saying that since there's no spaghetti monster under my bed, you'd be ridiculous to think there's anything else under it.

All the spaghetti monster is, is an example of how, just because you can't disprove something, it doesn't mean it's real or even likely to exist.

The spaghetti monster doesn't have anything to do with probability whatsoever, so it's completely pointless to bring up, unless someone argues that since you can't disprove God, then he must be real. In that case the spaghetti monster would prove a strong point.

I've never seen anyone successfully making me laugh with a joke about atheist beliefs or lack thereof. Mocking theists is just so much easier.

My definition of atheism is by the official definition. No God. Or Lack of a God. I strongly believe theres tons of stuff out there we haven't got a clue about yet. Phenomenons that even the brightest of us can't grasp, but these are physical phenomenons regarding science. Such as the enigma of black holes which are basically the unanswered questions we have about death; You either haven't learned anything and you are dead to the rest of the world or you've revolutionized any idea we had bout the cycles of life, and you're still dead.

All I'm saying that no single entity planned this and we're not responsible for anything but what we do to ourselves.
I'm not agnostic because that includes the possibility of a God and I don't see or believe in any form of intelligent design. Ridicule me for that but I dare you to find even remotely funny pictures. Don't even start on "the universe is so vast how can you know" theories.
The universe is dead, deal with it. It's gases and rocks, we are alone and we will die alone, anything else is X-files to me.

You posted 2 pics. One calls theists and atheists retards. The other calls atheists arrogant and in the second part denies the bible. This one is confusing because you're saying the christian/hebrew god isn't real (if the bible is not the truth then any possible existing god could not be the christian or hebrew god) but there may be another god out there. What I take from this is that you believe there could be a god force that is not defined by the bible or there could just not be one at all. That's great. It also means there isn't necessarily a hell or heaven or even an afterlife at all. Maybe the god force wants us all to kill each other in a battle royal and we've all been really disappointing. Stephan Hawking just did a show where he explains why nothing in this universe that we know of so far needs a god as an explanation. I'll take the simplest solution. Can't rule it out but I also can't rule out the FSM.

I'm not saying you're retarded (as you've called everyone besides the agnostics) but that I don't understand why you tell anyone they're wrong when you're open to both views. I don't really want to defend my position on the subject of atheism. I could explain why mine is just as valid as yours but I doubt you want to hear it. I just wanted to post some funny pictures of an atheist's reaction to theism.

There are plenty of religions that don't deal with the concept of a personal God. Hell, there are even branches within Christianity and Islam that don't believe in a personal God.

I guess my only question for people on both sides of the schism -- heh, rhymes with jizzim -- is why should we give a fuck? Oh, one thing the Bible did get right, though, is that we shouldn't associate with women on their periods. How fucking true is that, right guys? Some Native American tribes would send women on their periods into a special 'tent' where they could meditate and be alone until they got their issues sorted out. For the good of the tribe. Truly, they were ahead of their time.

Believing or unbelieving is the less important issue: religion is a set of rules that make some people act like retards from the bronze age, that's the biggest issue IMO. I am an Atheist, but if somebody tells me that he's not 100% satisfied with the answers science gives him/her, well I don't agree, science is on a beautiful journey, but hey that's OK, and that's a Deist, somebody who believes a god created everything, but that same god stays the fuck out of people's lives.
Theism, which is the belief that a god not only created everything, but constantly watches over us and determines the outcome of everything, is just a manifestation of the human beings' egocentric nature: "oh yes, I am humble, I am nothing compared to god... BUT he cares about me to the point that he goes apeshit if I eat meat on Easter Friday or if I decide to work on Friday (or Saturday or Sunday)". That's bullshit: how egocentric, paranoid and arrogant is a person who thinks that?

Indeed; Zoid's random fits of tourettes makes for a much better topic. Also, I agree on the agnostics = atheists thing but it's not worth trying to convince them. It's like telling them there is no chance they are going to heaven versus a maybe. They will just refuse to believe it and rationalize it somehow.

I classify myself as an Agnostic and I don't think I'm going to anything resembling Heaven, if it does exist.

If a "heaven" and "hell" exists, I'm probably going to the "hell".
